# Burning Parchment vs HiDay

The clearest difference is update cadence: Burning Parchment at every 5 days against HiDay's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Burning Parchment sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and HiDay sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Burning Parchment ships an update every 5 days, HiDay every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
