# Youmerology vs RootsLore

The clearest difference is update cadence: RootsLore at every 2 days against Youmerology's weekly. Youmerology's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Youmerology sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and RootsLore sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Youmerology against 5.0 for RootsLore. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Youmerology has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Youmerology ships an update weekly, RootsLore every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
