# TrueRune vs Gun Digest

The clearest difference is update cadence: TrueRune at every 4 days against Gun Digest's fortnightly. Gun Digest's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrueRune sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Gun Digest sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TrueRune ships an update every 4 days, Gun Digest fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
