# Bloom vs Vela

The clearest difference is update cadence: Vela at every 11 days against Bloom's every 3 months. Vela also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bloom sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Vela sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bloom ships an update every 3 months, Vela every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
