# Tase vs Stepwise

The clearest difference is ads: Stepwise at none against Tase's shown. Stepwise also leads on update cadence (daily vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Tase's advantage is ratings volume (53 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tase sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Stepwise sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stepwise holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tase has 53 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Tase ships an update fortnightly, Stepwise daily. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
