# Bare Minimum vs Forge

The clearest difference is update cadence: Forge at every 2 days against Bare Minimum's fortnightly. Bare Minimum's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bare Minimum sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Forge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bare Minimum ships an update fortnightly, Forge every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
