# WhyNow vs LockHour Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: LockHour Pro at every 3 days against WhyNow's every 9 days. LockHour Pro also leads on device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WhyNow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and LockHour Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WhyNow ships an update every 9 days, LockHour Pro every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
