# Echo vs Always Connected

The clearest difference is update cadence: Always Connected at every 5 days against Echo's monthly. Always Connected also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Echo ships an update monthly, Always Connected every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
