# Chatzoo vs 9xchat

The clearest difference is update cadence: 9xchat at weekly against Chatzoo's every 2 weeks. 9xchat also leads on device support and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chatzoo sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and 9xchat sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chatzoo ships an update every 2 weeks, 9xchat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
