# Top vs 990prep

The clearest difference is ads: 990prep at none against Top's shown. 990prep also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Top sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and 990prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Top ships an update every 3 weeks, 990prep every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
