# Top vs Yap

The clearest difference is ads: Yap at none against Top's shown. Yap also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Top's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Top sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Yap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Top ships an update every 3 weeks, Yap every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
