# Note.md vs Lobster

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lobster at daily against Note.md's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note.md sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lobster sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note.md ships an update fortnightly, Lobster daily. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
