# Open Minis vs EdgeEver

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Open Minis at 95 against EdgeEver's 1. EdgeEver's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EdgeEver holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open Minis has 95 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Open Minis ships an update weekly, EdgeEver every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
