# In The Loop vs YearMap

The clearest difference is update cadence: YearMap at every 2 days against In The Loop's every 3 weeks. In The Loop's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. In The Loop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and YearMap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

In The Loop ships an update every 3 weeks, YearMap every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
