# Rostr vs ShiftCal

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShiftCal at every 2 days against Rostr's every 2 months. ShiftCal also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rostr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and ShiftCal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rostr ships an update every 2 months, ShiftCal every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
