# SplitRig vs DualCam

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SplitRig at none against DualCam's 1. SplitRig also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). DualCam's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DualCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SplitRig asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SplitRig against 5.0 for DualCam. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SplitRig has 39 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SplitRig ships an update weekly, DualCam every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
