# PopNotes vs inkling

The clearest difference is update cadence: inkling at fortnightly against PopNotes's every 4 months. PopNotes's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PopNotes sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and inkling sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PopNotes ships an update every 4 months, inkling fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
