# Screenguard vs Scrollwall

The clearest difference is monetization model: Screenguard at free against Scrollwall's subscription. Screenguard also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 60%). Scrollwall's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and ratings volume (148 vs 28). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screenguard sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scrollwall sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Screenguard against 4.7 for Scrollwall. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scrollwall has 148 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of Screenguard's written reviews are positive against 60% of Scrollwall's.

Screenguard ships an update every 6 days, Scrollwall every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
