# Screenguard vs Scrollmaxxing

The clearest difference is monetization model: Screenguard at free against Scrollmaxxing's subscription. Screenguard also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). Scrollmaxxing's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screenguard sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scrollmaxxing sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrollmaxxing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screenguard has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Screenguard ships an update every 6 days, Scrollmaxxing every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
