# Simple Reminders vs Etched

The clearest difference is update cadence: Etched at every 2 days against Simple Reminders's every 10 days. Simple Reminders's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Reminders sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Etched sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Reminders ships an update every 10 days, Etched every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
