# Simply Step vs Steps

The clearest difference is rating: Steps at 5.0 against Simply Step's 4.5. Steps also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9). Simply Step's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simply Step sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Steps asks for nothing beyond the download.

Steps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simply Step has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simply Step ships an update every 2 weeks, Steps every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
