# Afterpass vs MateDrive

The clearest difference is update cadence: MateDrive at every 3 days against Afterpass's every 10 days. Afterpass's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Afterpass sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MateDrive sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Afterpass ships an update every 10 days, MateDrive every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
