# Point vs Chip

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chip at every 10 days against Point's every 8 months. Point's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Point sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Chip sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Point ships an update every 8 months, Chip every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
