# GermanBox vs Sprachprep

The clearest difference is ads: GermanBox at none against Sprachprep's shown. GermanBox also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Sprachprep's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GermanBox sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Sprachprep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GermanBox ships an update weekly, Sprachprep every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
