# Vimo vs Charty

The clearest difference is monetization model: Charty at free against Vimo's freemium. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vimo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Charty sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 1.0 for Vimo against 1.0 for Charty. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

Vimo ships an update every 9 days, Charty weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
