# Weekly Serial vs Sacred Sutra

The clearest difference is ads: Weekly Serial at none against Sacred Sutra's shown. Sacred Sutra's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weekly Serial sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month and Sacred Sutra sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Weekly Serial ships an update every 3 weeks, Sacred Sutra every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
