# Jot vs Slips

The clearest difference is update cadence: Slips at weekly against Jot's monthly. On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jot sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per year and Slips sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Jot against 5.0 for Slips. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Jot ships an update monthly, Slips weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
