# NC File Manager vs SlotNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: NC File Manager at every 2 weeks against SlotNote's monthly. SlotNote's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NC File Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SlotNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NC File Manager ships an update every 2 weeks, SlotNote monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
