# Fret Drill vs Guitartopia

The clearest difference is ads: Fret Drill at none against Guitartopia's shown. Guitartopia's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fret Drill sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Guitartopia sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fret Drill ships an update every 2 months, Guitartopia every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
