# Book Reader vs Morph Books

The clearest difference is rating: Book Reader at 5.0 against Morph Books's 4.1. Book Reader also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Morph Books's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (75% vs 67%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Book Reader sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Morph Books sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Book Reader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Book Reader's written reviews are positive against 75% of Morph Books's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Book Reader ships an update monthly, Morph Books every 2 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
