# MindType vs NineWays

The clearest difference is update cadence: NineWays at every 4 days against MindType's monthly. NineWays also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindType sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and NineWays sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
