# MindType vs SlowMind

The clearest difference is ads: MindType at none against SlowMind's shown. SlowMind's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindType sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and SlowMind sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindType ships an update monthly, SlowMind daily. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
