# FaceBox vs Index

The clearest difference is update cadence: FaceBox at every 10 days against Index's monthly. Index's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaceBox sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Index sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FaceBox ships an update every 10 days, Index monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
