# Speed Reader vs Anchor

The clearest difference is update cadence: Anchor at monthly against Speed Reader's every 3 months. Anchor also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Anchor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speed Reader ships an update every 3 months, Anchor monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
