# Countdown Widget vs Whenora

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Countdown Widget at 24 against Whenora's 1. Countdown Widget also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). Whenora's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Whenora sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Whenora holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Widget has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countdown Widget ships an update every 8 days, Whenora every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
