# Asterysk vs Carrus

The clearest difference is device support: Asterysk at 3 against Carrus's 1. Asterysk also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Asterysk sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Carrus sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Asterysk ships an update weekly, Carrus every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
