# Footscroll vs Always Pause

The clearest difference is ads: Always Pause at none against Footscroll's shown. Always Pause also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Footscroll sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Always Pause sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Footscroll ships an update every 10 days, Always Pause every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
