# Footscroll vs BlockStep

The clearest difference is ads: BlockStep at none against Footscroll's shown. BlockStep also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). Footscroll's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Footscroll sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BlockStep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Footscroll ships an update every 10 days, BlockStep every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
