# Iris vs Scatto

The clearest difference is update cadence: Iris at weekly against Scatto's monthly. Iris also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Iris sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and Scatto sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Iris ships an update weekly, Scatto monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
