# KittyLitter vs Taste

The clearest difference is monetization model: KittyLitter at free against Taste's free with in-app purchases. KittyLitter also leads on ratings volume (45 vs 6) and device support (3 vs 1). Taste's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KittyLitter sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Taste sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Taste holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KittyLitter has 45 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

KittyLitter ships an update weekly, Taste every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
