# SkyFocus vs checkPlex

The clearest difference is update cadence: checkPlex at every 2 weeks against SkyFocus's every 2 months. SkyFocus's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkyFocus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and checkPlex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkyFocus ships an update every 2 months, checkPlex every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
