# Forge vs PTKit

The clearest difference is update cadence: PTKit at every 3 days against Forge's every 3 weeks. PTKit also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forge sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and PTKit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forge ships an update every 3 weeks, PTKit every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
