# Nomad Routine vs Beacon

The clearest difference is update cadence: Beacon at every 2 days against Nomad Routine's every 3 weeks. Nomad Routine's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nomad Routine sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Beacon sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Nomad Routine against 5.0 for Beacon. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Nomad Routine ships an update every 3 weeks, Beacon every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
