# Intentional vs Bastion

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bastion at free with in-app purchases against Intentional's subscription. Intentional's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Intentional sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Bastion sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Intentional against 5.0 for Bastion. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively.

Intentional ships an update every 2 weeks, Bastion weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
