# Discmetric vs RipReader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Discmetric at every 2 days against RipReader's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Discmetric sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and RipReader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Discmetric ships an update every 2 days, RipReader weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
