# MaxPadel vs Brackets

The clearest difference is update cadence: MaxPadel at every 8 days against Brackets's every 3 weeks. MaxPadel also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaxPadel sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Brackets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MaxPadel ships an update every 8 days, Brackets every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
