# Ebb vs Steady

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ebb at every 5 days against Steady's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ebb sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Steady sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ebb ships an update every 5 days, Steady fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
