# Control vs Boop Budget Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Boop Budget Tracker at 5.0 against Control's 4.2. Boop Budget Tracker also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 days). Control's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Control sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Boop Budget Tracker sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Boop Budget Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Control has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Control ships an update every 3 days, Boop Budget Tracker daily. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
