# Box Interval Timer vs Rondo

The clearest difference is monetization model: Box Interval Timer at free against Rondo's freemium. Rondo's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Box Interval Timer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Rondo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Box Interval Timer against 5.0 for Rondo. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively.

Box Interval Timer ships an update monthly, Rondo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
