# Shadow Security vs eSign

The clearest difference is update cadence: eSign at fortnightly against Shadow Security's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shadow Security sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and eSign sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shadow Security ships an update every 5 months, eSign fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
